Hello. I’m Karey VanBuren.
I believe when any person helps you achieve your goals or achieve them sooner, this is one of the best things that can happen in your life.
Since 1984, I’ve worked with public & private, large & small companies. I’ve had the privelage of working with a wide range of people all over Canada and the USA, helping them move forward in their lives and careers and achieve some amazing things.
Coaching with business people happens to be how I most enjoy my professional life — you know, in the saddle. Occasionally I wear a cowboy hat, as in this photograph taken during the Calgary Stampede.
Drawing from a wide range of life experiences
I’ve seen and done a lot in my life and have a broad background of experience to draw from including calling home: Edmonton, New York, Chicago, Calgary and Montpellier in France.
Over the course of my life, I have considerable adult learning and change management experience ranging from one-to-one coaching to corporate teams. I practice coaching from an “inside out perspective” believing what you are experiencing is always grounded in how you view life at the time.
A client once referred to me as the ‘acupuncturist’ of Leadership Coaches. This makes me laugh and cringe. I trust it describes my ability to place just the right amount of attention, in the right place to have more energy ‘flow’ in a client’s life.

During the past 10 years, I’ve contributed to the body of knowledge in understanding and practicing leadership. In 2011 the book the book titled Connections Leadership was co-authored with Kristin T. Eggen - soon to be published by Lightening Source.
To further assist clients with their leadership practices, Inside Out Perspective has developed a complementary application for the iPad called iLeadership.
